Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO) is committed to working with local and Iraqi companies in Rumaila. Across ROO’s wider supply chain companies employ around 35,000 people throughout the Rumaila oil field delivering a range of goods and services, from specialist oil and gas engineering to construction, printing and catering.

ROO relies on local Iraqi businesses to operate to its full potential. Over the past 14+ years, approximately $10 billion worth of contracts have been awarded to Iraqi companies, each playing a vital role in Basra’s economy.

Supplier registration

Suppliers who are interested in doing business with Rumaila are required to be registered with ROO’s Supplier Registration System which is hosted by Avetta.

Avetta provides ROO with an effective method for communicating with suppliers and allows ROO to maintain a consistent, open and fair process for identifying suppliers, using the best possible information available. As a result, suppliers performing services or interested in providing services for, or supplying goods to ROO are required to be registered with Avetta.

In order to register your company as a potential supplier to ROO you will be required to submit and complete the following information in Avetta:

• Company Profile
• Work Types
• HSE Supporting Documentation
• Company Registration Documents
• Policy Acknowledgements

ROO recognizes that this may be a new way of doing business for many of our suppliers, but it does mean that whenever a supplier makes an application to work with ROO, such application will be treated in a confidential, impartial and trusted fashion.
