Every year, Rumaila hosts Iraqi students to give them hands-on experience about what life is like working in the oil and gas industry.<

The training was co-ordinated by the Design Section of ROO, with staff members leading sessions and sharing their expertise and experience with students. Describing the occasion, Mahdi Hassan Saiyah, Design Section Head, said: “These courses and lectures help strengthen students’ technical and practical skills, equipping them to tackle future challenges in both their academic fields and professional careers. The response from the participating students was extremely positive – they showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged with the lectures and activities. The students also participated effectively in discussions, asked questions, and demonstrated a clear desire to learn. There was noticeable co-operation among them, which contributed to creating an atmosphere of positive interaction.”
